Aubrey Plaza will be making her directorial debut in the anthology series Cinema Toast premiering exclusively on Showtime’s on-demand platform! The episode titled “Quiet Illness,” pieces together footage of Loretta Young to create a portrait of an emotionally tortured modern woman. The series will be available to stream on Tuesday, April 20.

Aubrey Plaza has joined the cast of Guy Ritchie’s new untitled thriller (formally known as Five Eyes) starring Jason Statham.

The story follows MI6 guns-and-steel agent (Statham) who is recruited by a global intelligence alliance to track down and stop the sale of a deadly new weapons technology that threatens to disrupt the world order. Reluctantly paired with CIA high-tech expert, Fortune sets off on a globe-trotting mission where he will have to use all of his charm, ingenuity and stealth to track down and infiltrate billionaire arms broker.

Happy Endings alum Adam Pally is in talks to star in a new John Belushi biopic that would co-star Ike Barinholtz as Dan Aykroyd, while Aubrey Plaza is being eyed to play Belushi’s wife, Collider has exclusively learned.
